The Story Behind This Print
The last of this set from Sandwich Harbour (see Worlds Collide for the full story on this stretch of coast), and the one that pulls back the furthest — more of the Atlantic itself in the frame alongside the dunes, rather than the tight, dune-dominated views of Impenetrable Sand or Not a Trace.
It’s the widest look at the whole scene — desert and ocean sharing the same frame, in proportion, side by side.
Each print begins as a Lumachrome exposure on metallic photographic paper, then is face-mounted beneath acrylic for extraordinary depth and color. Most images can also be custom-sized up to 120″ on the longest side — just ask.
