The Story Behind This Print
Another frame from Sandwich Harbour, where dunes nearly 100 meters tall run straight down to the Atlantic (see Worlds Collide). This one is about the sheer scale of the sand itself — a wall of dune rising up so steep and so vast that it looks less like terrain and more like a barrier, something no vehicle or person could realistically get through or over.
It’s a reminder of just how massive these dunes really are up close, long after the ocean’s edge disappears behind them.
Each print begins as a Lumachrome exposure on metallic photographic paper, then is face-mounted beneath acrylic for extraordinary depth and color. Most images can also be custom-sized up to 120″ on the longest side — just ask.
