The Story Behind This Print

The two-tone look of those peaks is geology, not light. The pale rock is granite that pushed up from underneath, and the dark band capping each summit is the older sedimentary rock it never quite broke through.
Each print begins as a Lumachrome exposure on metallic photographic paper, then is face-mounted beneath acrylic for extraordinary depth and color. Most images can also be custom-sized up to 120″ on the longest side — just ask.
